My approach to the psych services I provide is unique to you, while also maintaining my own authenticity. I tailor treatment to what makes sense to each person & situation. I value using an integrated approach through a person-centered, attachment, and trauma-informed lens when working through the complexities that life brings us.
This work starts off with gathering your history, symptoms, and goals for treatment. You are the expert of your life. I work with you to develop a tailored treatment plan that is researched-informed and evidence based.

Rebecca Mayer is a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She received her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology in 2021 and has completed post-graduate training in the modalities listed above. She has worked in the field of mental health and addictions since 2010. This work has included non-profit organizations, mental health in patient units, and various mental health & addiction outpatient settings. For the past 6.5 years, she has worked with individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. She has experience in providing treatment to clients who have engaged in substance use which has resulted in either criminal charges and or occupational concerns. She has been involved in research pertaining to opioid use disorders.
She completed training as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and is US-DOT certified in conjunction with training in Substance Abuse Expert (SAE) Evaluations. She is skilled at providing formal substance use assessments to individuals who have tested positive for substances while working in a safety-sensitive positions.
